Dr. Lovell earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, where she received the Health Professionals Scholarship. Following graduation, she was commissioned as a U.S. Army Captain and served at Naval Station Great Lakes, providing veterinary services throughout her military career. After leaving the Army in 2022, she settled in Illinois and became part of the state's veterinary community.
Dr. Lovell's clinical focus pairs preventive medicine with integrative care. In 2025, she earned her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA), giving her the ability to offer pet owners a non-pharmaceutical option for pain management, chronic conditions, and wellness support.
Dr. Lovell's dual expertise in conventional veterinary medicine and certified acupuncture positions her as a valuable addition to the Loving Care team. Her military background instilled a disciplined, mission-driven approach to patient care, one that translates naturally into the hospital's own standard of thorough, client-focused veterinary medicine. With her CVA credential and passion for preventive health, she is well-equipped to support pets through all life stages using both traditional and integrative treatment plans.
