Software Automated Ltd publishes white paper on two-level partner programs for brands

ViralPayouts white paper sets out a referral model that pays recruiters an override on the sales of the partners they bring in, and the pilot that would prove it wrong.

LONDON, 2 November 2026 - Software Automated Ltd, the company behind ViralPayouts, has published version 2.3 of its white paper, "Paying for customers, and for the people who find the people who find them".

The paper argues that most referral and affiliate programs fail because the people best placed to recommend a product never hear the program exists. It proposes a two-level partner program: partners earn a commission on each approved customer, and recruiters earn an override, paid on top, on the approved sales of the partners they bring in. Nobody is paid for sign-ups, there are never more than two levels, and brands pay only for approved sales.

The paper covers the model, the payment ledger, attribution, fees, fraud controls and compliance, and sets out a pilot that compares a two-level program with a single-level control. "This is a hypothesis, not a result," said founder Maxime Yao. "We'll publish the pilot result whichever way it goes."

The white paper is free to read at https://viralpayouts.com/white-paper.
