GOLD COAST, QLD, 18 October 2026 – Move Mate Movers, a moving company based at 14 Aspen Way, Arundel, is offering 24/7 moving across the Gold Coast. Customers can book and carry out moves at any hour, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

The service is aimed at residents and businesses whose moves don't fit standard business hours, such as tenants with tight end-of-lease dates, shift workers, and businesses that need to relocate outside trading hours to avoid disruption.

"People don't always get to choose when they move," said Aashish Kamboz of Move Mate Movers. "Leases end on set dates, settlements change, and some businesses can only move after closing. Being available around the clock means we can work to our customers' timelines rather than ask them to work to ours."

Planning a move in the Gold Coast wet season

With the summer peak approaching, Move Mate Movers is sharing some simple advice for anyone planning a move in the coming months. Late spring and summer on the Gold Coast often bring heavy afternoon storms, high humidity and heat, and these can affect moving day.

The company suggests that residents:

- Book early. Demand usually rises over summer and around the end of the year, so confirming a date in advance gives more flexibility.
- Check the forecast and plan for rain. Have plastic covers, towels and floor protection ready, and keep a clear, sheltered path between the door and the truck.
- Protect moisture-sensitive items. Electronics, documents, mattresses and timber furniture should be wrapped or sealed before they leave the house.
- Consider an early or late start. Moving in the cooler parts of the day can reduce heat stress for everyone involved. A 24/7 service makes this easier to arrange.
- Pack an essentials box. Keep medication, chargers, important papers, drinking water and basic kitchen items together and easy to reach.

"Storms on the Gold Coast tend to arrive quickly in summer, so a bit of preparation goes a long way," Kamboz said. "Most moving-day problems we see can be avoided with planning a few days ahead."
