Northgate Animal Hospital is inviting pet owners across Chattanooga and Hixson to celebrate the grand opening of its newly expanded facility during a community Open House on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will take place at the hospital's location at 1600 Hamill Road and marks a milestone in the practice's continued growth throughout the region.

The expansion adds space designed to support Northgate Animal Hospital's full range of veterinary services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, advanced dentistry, laser surgery, diagnostic imaging, and boarding for dogs and cats. The hospital also operates a dedicated Northgate Cat Care area, featuring a separate feline waiting room, cat-first exam rooms, and calming amenities designed to reduce stress during visits for anxious cats. Attendees will have the chance to tour the newly expanded space and see firsthand how the additional square footage allows the team to accommodate a growing number of pet families across Hixson and Chattanooga.

The celebration will include guided hospital tours, food and refreshments, raffles, and live K9 demonstrations for guests of all ages. Children are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal for a "Teddy Bear Check-Up" led by Dr. Jim Hammon, giving young visitors a fun introduction to what a veterinary exam looks like. Local business Black Diamond will also be on-site offering complimentary massages, while temporary tattoos and additional activities round out an afternoon built around community connection.
