NutriNest launches a survey exploring Faridabad's food habits, healthy eating choices, nutrition awareness, convenience, taste and affordability.

FARIDABAD, INDIA — August 16, 2026 — NutriNest, a healthy meal delivery brand serving Faridabad, has launched “What Faridabad Is Actually Eating: The Faridabad Healthy Food Habits Survey 2026” –– a consumer research initiative designed to understand how people in the city make everyday food choices.

The survey will explore an important question –– When people in Faridabad say they want to eat healthier, what does that actually mean in their everyday lives?

Healthy eating is often discussed in terms of nutrition, calories, protein & ingredients. However, everyday food decisions are influenced by –– several practical factors, including taste, price, convenience, availability, time and eating habits.

NutriNest's survey aims to understand how these factors come together when Faridabad consumers decide what to eat.

1. Understanding Faridabad's Everyday Food Choices

The survey will examine a range of food habits and attitudes, including:

· How frequently people eat home-cooked food, eat outside or order meals
· How often consumers use food-delivery services
· What people consider when choosing a meal
· How important taste is when selecting healthier food
· Whether consumers consider healthy food expensive
· How much convenience influences food choices
· Whether lack of time makes healthy eating more difficult
· What people understand by the term “healthy food”
· Awareness of protein and other nutritional considerations
· Healthy snacking habits
· The influence of social media and online food content
· Whether consumers actively look for healthier options when ordering food

2. Is Convenience Making Healthy Eating Easier—or Harder?

One of the key areas the research will examine is convenience.

For people with demanding work schedules, long commutes, family responsibilities or limited time for meal preparation –– eating healthier can sometimes be less about knowing what to eat and more about finding practical options that fit into everyday life.

The survey will explore whether convenience is helping consumers make better food choices or encouraging them to choose –– whatever is easiest and most readily available.

3. What Does “Healthy Food” Actually Mean?

The survey will also examine how Faridabad consumers define a healthy meal.

Consumers may associate healthy food with characteristics such as –– more vegetables, higher protein, less oil, fewer processed ingredients, balanced nutrition, portion control or freshly prepared meals.

Rather than assuming what consumers consider healthy, NutriNest intends to use the survey responses to understand the priorities of local consumers directly.

4. Food Delivery, Taste and Affordability

Food delivery has become part of everyday life for many urban consumers –but ordering a meal involves more than simply choosing between restaurants.

The survey will explore –– whether people consider nutritional information while ordering, how frequently they choose healthier options, and whether they would pay more for meals they perceive as healthier.

It will also examine the balance between taste, nutrition, price, portion size and convenience.

This is particularly relevant because a healthier meal may not become a regular choice –– if consumers find it inconvenient, unaffordable or less appealing in terms of taste.

5. Putting Faridabad in Context

The survey will also consider existing research on food and nutrition in India.

For example, the Government of India's Household Consumption Expenditure Survey 2023–24 estimated –– average daily urban per-capita intake at 2,240 kcal and 63.4 grams of protein before adjustment. The adjusted figures were 2,225 kcal and 62.9 grams of protein.

These national figures provide useful context, but they do not explain how individual cities or communities make their food choices.

The NutriNest survey aims to contribute a more local perspective by examining food habits specifically among people in and around Faridabad.

5. What Will Happen With the Findings?

Once sufficient responses have been collected and analysed, NutriNest plans to publish the findings as a research report highlighting the most interesting patterns in Faridabad's food habits.

The final report will examine questions such as:

· What are the biggest barriers to eating healthier?
· How important is convenience when choosing meals?
· What does Faridabad consider a healthy meal?
· How important is protein when selecting food?
· How frequently do people order meals?
· Does taste outweigh nutrition when making food decisions?
· Do consumers consider healthy food affordable?
· How strongly does social media influence food choices?

The findings will be presented based on the responses collected rather than predetermined assumptions.
