Laser and Me, a well-known aesthetic dermatology practice specializing in laser treatments for all skin types, today announced the opening of its new location at 347 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and the launch of an expanded service line that significantly broadens the range of non-invasive treatments available to clients in New York City. The new Midtown Manhattan office, situated steps from the Empire State Building, marks a milestone for the growing practice and introduces several new treatment categories alongside its established laser hair removal and injectable services.
In addition to its core offerings of laser hair removal and Botox, Laser and Me has added five new services at the 5th Avenue location, such as biorevitalization, PRP hair restoration, laser tattoo removal, laser pigmentation reduction, and laser acne scar reduction. These new services join the practice's existing menu of laser hair removal, Botox and anti-wrinkle injectables, microneedling, PRP skin rejuvenation, and laser skin rejuvenation.
A central focus of the new location is its use of FDA-cleared Cynosure dual-wavelength laser systems. The platform combines two laser technologies, Alexandrite (755nm) and Nd:YAG (1064nm), enabling practitioners to treat every skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale from type I through VI. The Alexandrite laser is optimized for fair to light olive complexions, while the Nd:YAG laser operates at a longer wavelength that safely bypasses melanin in darker skin tones, making it effective for clients with olive, brown, and dark complexions. Having both wavelengths in a single platform allows the clinical team to select the appropriate laser for each individual client based on their skin tone and hair type.
"New York City is the most diverse city in the world, and a medspa that only serves one skin type is not serving the city," said Oleg Smirnov, owner of Laser and Me. "We invested in dual-wavelength technology specifically so that every person who walks through our door gets a treatment that is safe and effective for their individual skin. That is not a premium feature. It should be the standard of care."
The 347 5th Avenue address places Laser and Me in one of Manhattan's most accessible corridors, within walking distance of Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal, and multiple subway lines. The location was chosen to serve the area's dense mix of office workers, residents, and visitors, with scheduling designed to accommodate lunchtime and after-work appointments.
"We wanted to be where New York actually is, not tucked away in a side street," Smirnov said. "5th Avenue near the Empire State Building is one of the most-walked blocks in the city. Our clients can come in on a lunch break and be back at their desk in under an hour."
The expansion comes amid strong growth in the non-invasive aesthetics market. According to industry data, skin tightening procedures grew 44 percent year over year in 2024, and the global laser and IPL hair removal market is projected to reach $6.25 billion by 2034. PRP therapy and microneedling have also seen significant increases in client demand, driven in part by social media awareness and a cultural shift toward preventative skincare among younger demographics.
Laser and Me plans to continue expanding its service offerings throughout 2026 and is evaluating additional locations in the New York City metropolitan area. For more information or to schedule a complimentary consultation, visit www.laserandme.com.
