LONDON, 28 September 2026 – Phase One Works, the London-based enabling works and structural alterations specialist, has completed the builders works package at Fibi House in the City of London. Delivered over a 13-week contract, the package formed part of a wider redevelopment programme and has prepared the building for its next stage of development.

Much of the work involved opening up an existing structure in a tightly constrained city centre setting, so demolition, temporary works and new steelwork all had to be carefully coordinated. Phase One Works carried out localised demolition to form a new service riser through the building, along with demolition works at roof level. Bespoke temporary works, designed specifically for the project, kept the structure fully supported at every stage.

To form new structural openings and carry a roof-level extension, the team designed and installed a new steel structure. Below ground, Phase One Works installed new drainage, while internal and external remedial works to the existing concrete and masonry restored and strengthened the building fabric ahead of the next phase.
