Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh National Flag Football League (PNL) is proud to announce the continued expansion of its girls-only programming through its affiliation with PSL flag football, offering structured and competitive football teams for girls across the Pittsburgh region.

As part of its long-standing mission to make youth football safe, inclusive, and development-focused, PNL now offers dedicated girls-only flag football divisions for athletes ages 7 to 14. These teams give young girls the opportunity to play under the official NFL FLAG framework—wearing real NFL team jerseys and competing in a league that mirrors the energy and structure of professional football.

Each season includes two weeks of training camp, a formal team draft, 10 regular-season games, and a playoff tournament, culminating in the highly anticipated All-Star Weekend and Honors Ceremony. The girls-only divisions follow the same structure as coed leagues, ensuring equal access to coaching, game play, and development opportunities.

Beyond athletics, these football teams for girls provide a space for building confidence, leadership, and lasting friendships. Players are coached by experienced mentors who emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth—both on and off the field.

The upcoming fall season kicks off in August 2025, with games hosted at Linton Middle School and Boyce Park Soccer Fields. Registration is currently open for all age divisions, with early sign-up encouraged due to high demand.
