QueBuster, an offline-first, queue-less event check-in platform, has reached a major milestone in its journey to digitize Africa’s business event logistics. Focused on Kampala’s $2.5 million venue-provider segment, the startup is now onboarding its first pilot partners to demonstrate how seamless, QR-based registration can eliminate queues and improve guest experience at conferences, trade shows, and corporate events.
The Ugandan-founded startup, which recently emerged as a Top 5 finalist in the 2025 Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge, targets hotel venues and convention centers through a pay-per-event and venue-retainer model projected to generate $30,000 in annual recurring revenue in its first year.
“We’re creating the backbone for Africa’s tourism and business events infrastructure one check-in at a time,” said Bruno Komurubuga, QueBuster’s Founder and CEO. “Our focus is practical adoption: delivering reliable, offline-ready tools that match the realities of local event venues while preparing for regional expansion.”
