New Christmas comedy musical DASHING will have three full-length concert sharings this December at Underbelly Boulevard, Soho. Be among the first to experience this hilarious, heart-warming new festive musical packed with fabulous songs, queer joy and all the magic of a new Christmas classic.

From the festive minds of Matthew Floyd Jones (Kathy & Stella Solve a Murder, UK Tour/West End; A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad), UK Tour/West End) and Will Jackson (Clutch, Bush Theatre; Confetti, UK Tour) comes Dashing, a brand-new, riotously joyful Christmas comedy musical. This December, it’s set to sleigh into Underbelly Boulevard, Soho, for three unmissable full-length concert performances.

DASHING is a new queer festive comedy musical created by Will Jackson (book/lyrics) and Matthew Floyd Jones(composer/lyrics). The script has been highly commended by literary teams at the National Theatre, Royal Court and RSC, was shortlisted for BEAM, and had a 40-minute concert showcase at The Other Palace this summer. These Underbelly Boulevardconcerts are the next step in its journey, towards a full run in 2026.

Will Jackson (Book & Co-Lyricist) is a Birmingham-based theatre-maker. He was named “A Rising Comic Star” by Attitude for his solo show ‘Yours Sincerely’, which toured the UK including Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe. Other work includes ‘Veronica St. Claude’ (BBC Radio 4, starring Divina de Campo), ‘Fashion Spies’, ‘Confetti’ (★★★★★ British Theatre), and ‘Clutch’(★★★★ Observer) at the Bush Theatre. He’s recently finished commissions at the Bush Theatre and Birmingham Hippodrome.

Matthew Floyd Jones’s (Composer & Co-Lyricist) credits include: ‘Kathy & Stella Solve a Murder’ (★★★★★ The I, ★★★★ Financial Times), the Edinburgh Fringe hit which recently finished its West End transfer at the Ambassadors Theatre. ‘A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad)’, a cabaret play about depression which won a Fringe First award and has since toured the UK twice (★★★★★ What’s On Stage, ★★★★ The Scotsman). He is perhaps best known as one half of the iconic musical comedy double act ‘Frisky & Mannish’, who have terrorised audiences worldwide for over a decade, “Fully blown superstars” (★★★★★ Time Out).

Quick Duck Theatre are an award-winning Birmingham-based theatre company. Their work is ridiculous, queer, has a lot of heart & always has a killer soundtrack. They were recently appointed as one of the New Vic Theatre's Kiln Associate Companies and were one of New Diorama Theatre's Emerging Theatre companies (2019) and Birmingham REP Foundry Alumni. They have toured work to critical acclaim across pubs, night clubs and high-profile studio theatres & festivals across the UK, including Fierce Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Paines Plough Roundabout Theatre, Coventry City of Culture & China Plate's First Bite festival.
