Kekera Inc. has opened a dedicated custom B-roll service for independent filmmakers, documentarians, and small production teams that need location-specific footage without the cost of sending a crew. The service shoots original footage to each project's creative brief — streets, workplaces, landscapes, interiors, and everyday life — delivered as rights-cleared material ready to cut into a timeline.
Stock libraries offer volume but rarely offer specificity: the right light on the right street, a workplace that looks like the story's workplace, a crowd that feels real rather than staged. Kekera's B-roll service exists for productions where that specificity matters, shooting fresh footage planned around the script rather than pulled from a catalog.
"Independent filmmakers know exactly what their story needs and usually can't afford to go get it," said a spokesperson for Kekera Inc. "We become their crew on the ground — we shoot to the brief, we clear the rights, and the footage arrives ready to edit. The production keeps its vision without the travel budget."
Each commission begins with a consultation on the project's visual needs: locations, subjects, mood, time of day, and technical requirements such as resolution and frame rate. Shoots are scheduled efficiently, and footage is delivered with organized metadata so editors can find what they need quickly.
The service is available to productions of any size, from short films and documentaries to web series and news features. Filmmakers can discuss their footage needs through the contact below.
