Khetrinagar, Jhunjhunu – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), in collaboration with technology partner Raygain Technologies, has successfully deployed India’s first indigenous 5G-based Campus Private Network (CNPN) at Hindustan Copper Limited’s Khetri Copper Complex (KCC) mine.
This breakthrough is a major milestone not only for the telecom sector but also for India’s mining industry, where underground operations often face communication and safety challenges. The advanced 5G CNPN enables seamless connectivity between workers deep inside the mine and officials at the surface, ensuring real-time communication, improved worker safety, operational efficiency, and advanced monitoring capabilities.
BSNL Jhunjhunu’s Principal General Manager, Pawan Khatri, said:
"This deployment is a proud achievement for BSNL and India. It proves that indigenous 5G networks can operate in the most complex environments, transforming safety and productivity for industries like mining."
Raygain Technologies spokesperson added:
"At Raygain, we are committed to enabling industries with future-ready solutions. This 5G CNPN deployment demonstrates how Indian innovation can deliver high-performance, secure connectivity that strengthens both safety and efficiency."
The event was attended by KCC Unit Head Ghanshyam Das Gupta, DGM Sohan Lal Verma, AGM Avinash Gupta, SDE Arun Kumar, Rajesh Pandey, and Rahul.
This successful deployment represents a big step forward for Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, paving the way for similar implementations in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and energy.
