The Audai Foundation proudly announces the successful completion of a comprehensive renovation of the mental health hospital in Sri Lanka. This provides one of the major milestones to improve access for the Audai Foundation, which has the mission to improve access to compassionate services and help access high-quality care worldwide.
The Uday Charity has also undertaken a mission to significantly improve the mental care for adults who are trying to fight their complicated mental health issues. The renovation project was completely initiated, managed, and completed by the Audai Foundation, representing a 'hands-on' philanthropy with a focus on long-term impact and sustainable outcome. The project has greatly enhanced commitment to wellness, integrity, and dignity for the adults facing mental health issues in honor of Audai Shakour.
Why Was the Project Undertaken?
The project was undertaken as mental health remains one of the pressing and yet very underserved areas of global health. In Sri Lanka, as in many parts of the world, mental health issues are very much underserved areas of global health, and people also face multiple challenges at the same time.
Taking note of these immediate renovation needs at the mental health hospital, the Audai Foundation is committed to transforming an existing hospital into a contemporary standard space of care while honoring cultural context and community needs.
