Hydrogen Americas 2026 concluded in Houston, bringing together leaders across industry, finance and government to explore investment, policy, infrastructure and demand shaping the next phase of hydrogen, low-carbon fuels and CCUS.

Hydrogen Americas Summit & Exhibition 2026 concluded today at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, following two days of discussion focused on the commercial realities shaping the next phase of hydrogen, low-carbon fuels and CCUS development across the Americas.

Against a changing policy and investment landscape, the Summit brought together leaders from across government, finance, industry, infrastructure and technology to examine where projects are progressing, what is needed to unlock investment and where credible demand is emerging.

Speakers included senior representatives from FCHEA, Linde, Air Liquide, Petrobras, Port of Houston, Port of Corpus Christi, World Bank, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Global CCS Institute, Dow Jones Energy, Bosch, Electric Hydrogen, thyssenkrupp nucera, KBR, SLB, Baker Hughes and American Honda Motor Company alongside project developers, technology providers and industrial leaders from across the Americas and international markets.

Across the two days, conversations tackled the issues determining which projects can move forward: U.S. policy and tax credits, project economics, bankable offtake, access to finance, CCUS infrastructure and carbon networks, electrolytic hydrogen costs, industrial demand and international trade. Discussions also explored the Gulf Coast’s role as a hydrogen and CCUS hub and the potential for ports and industrial clusters to connect production with domestic and international demand.
Catalina Zuliani, Event Director, Hydrogen Americas Summit, said:
“What has stood out in Houston is the level of specificity in the conversations. The focus is no longer simply on growing the hydrogen market, but on where demand can be secured, what makes projects investable and how policy, infrastructure and CCUS can support deployment. Bringing together the organisations making those decisions has allowed for a much more practical conversation about where the market goes next.”
Hydrogen Americas Summit & Exhibition is returning to Houston in October 2027.
