Fulham easily defeated Ipswich Town to reach the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, thanks to Harry Wilson's cool finish and Muniz's debut goal for Fulham. Fulham's strong credentials were enough to see off an Ipswich side boasting impressive credentials as they advanced.
Under Jokanovic, the Cottagers have rarely looked like the miserable, relegation-threatened entity they were in previous seasons. Victories against Wigan, Forest and Bristol City during February helped spark an unbeaten streak that included five victories out of six matches.
Goals
Fulham fans had reason to hope. Leading up to the New Year, an exiled club from the Premier League since 1993 seemed poised for an electrifying comeback under Roy Hodgson's tutelage.
Cottagers started strongly, dominating early possession and creating numerous opportunities. Harry Wilson saw a low shot go narrowly wide before Bobby Decordova-Reid saw his deflected free-kick saved by Lee Walton.
But then came Joao Palhinha's equaliser. His 65th-minute goal cancelled out Evan Ferguson's early goal and breathed new life into the match.
Brighton kept their cool. Lewis Dunk's side-footed effort slipped over Leno's crossbar while substitute Rodrigo Muniz attempted an audacious back heel that was blocked by Janoi Donacien - both missed opportunities cost Brighton dearly; as such they remain winless away from home despite Roberto De Zerbi being pleased with their team effort which they will need when heading into Rome, Basel and Sofia this season.
Ipswich
After 23 long, often difficult seasons, Ipswich finally have something to celebrate. Last Saturday's promotion -- with one game left -- was more than just a reward for their fans; it also stands as testament to Kieran McKenna and his players' never-say-die spirit in chasing after goals that once seemed out of reach.

Ipswich boasts a proud tradition of producing talent through its academy, including Kevin Beattie, John Wark and Kieron Dyer who all represented Ipswich in the Premier League. Luke Woolfenden and Humphreys have already established themselves under McKenna; there's an undeniable bond among players, staff and ownership that makes Ipswich such an appealing place.
Fulham
Fulham emerged as a different side since their shock entry to the Premier League two years prior, under Slavisa Jokanovic they proved more mature and focused. A triumphant win against Manchester United proved this point; though their momentum did slow during Christmas time.
Freddie Ladapo tested Walton with an effort from the edge of the box. Calvin Bassey had his close-range shot blocked by Axel Tuanzebe, while Kayden Jackson was caught offside as hosts threatened. But then came a decisive goal!
Substitutions
At just under 20 minutes remaining in an otherwise dramatic match, Ipswich's Bobby de Cordova-Reid missed a clearance from his own goalline which allowed Harvey Vale to lash wide of Marek Rodak with ease.
Kieran McKenna and his team had taken an unexpected hit, yet Londoners Fulham were already beginning to find their feet again. Re-introduced Tom Cairney was playing an integral role for Fulham; his second goal seemed inevitabile.
Fulham were quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Championship and reigniting hope of swift return to Premier League playback. While not the most eye-catching side to watch, Fulham displayed incredible heart and conviction to give their fans renewed hope after two seasons of devastation by relegation horrors. Three consecutive wins had given Fulham hope for success once more and given hope back into their fans hearts.
