SAINT HELIER, JERSEY – November 7, 2025 – Author Vince Rockston, a native of the Island of Jersey, has announced the much-anticipated release of his new historical novel, "Greet Suzon for me." Scheduled for publication on November 15, 2025, this compelling story plunges readers into the tumultuous 17th century, chronicling a family's desperate flight from persecution in Normandy to the sanctuary of the Island of Jersey.

"Greet Suzon for me" is a powerful and moving account of a Huguenot family condemned to die for their faith. Set against the backdrop of religious persecution in France, the novel brings to life the harrowing experience of refugees forced to abandon their homeland. The story is a dramatic and deeply human portrayal of resilience, faith, and the will to survive against overwhelming odds.

The novel has already drawn praise. One reviewer, Sharlene Almond of Reedsy Discovery, calls it, "A compelling story of a persecuted family condemned to die, but resilient in their…" [faith and quest for survival].

This new work continues Rockston's passion for crafting "dramatic stories set in distant times and places, in which young people come to grips with... timeless spiritual questions." His writing speaks to the core of the human condition, addressing readers who, as his website states, "want to achieve something worthwhile while you're here."

"Greet Suzon for me" is more than a historical adventure; it is a profound exploration of the moral and spiritual crises that forge character. The novel confronts the same timeless questions that Rockston's characters face: How can one decide what is the right thing to do? Is there a purpose in life, especially in suffering? How can one overcome temptation and despair? Is there hope for a new beginning after making a terrible mistake?

The setting of the novel is deeply personal for the author. Vince Rockston was born on the Island of Jersey, the very refuge his characters are striving to reach. This intimate connection to the land provides a rich, authentic backdrop for the story.

Before becoming a full-time author, Vince Rockston was a Research Associate at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, before moving into a career in IT and later as a technical writer. This diverse background in science, technology, and precise communication informs his meticulously researched historical worlds and intricately plotted narratives. Now retired, he enjoys life in a beautiful village in Switzerland, dedicating his time to his writing.

"Greet Suzon for me" is the follow-up to his 2018 novel, "Aquila – Can Silvanus Escape That God?", which was set on the Isle of Elba and explored similar themes of faith and perseverance in a different historical context.

The new novel, "Greet Suzon for me," will be available on November 15, 2025, in both e-book and paperback formats at major online retailers.
