Shawnee Animal Hospital, a full-service animal hospital serving Pottawatomie County and the greater Oklahoma area since 1952, is thrilled to welcome Dr. Darci Jones, DVM, as the newest member of its dedicated veterinary team. A proud Oklahoma native with an agricultural background and a genuine love for all species, Dr. Jones is a wonderful addition to one of the state's most established mixed animal practices.
Dr. Jones was born and raised in Wagoner, OK, where she developed a deep appreciation for animals and rural life through showing cattle and horses during her formative years. That hands-on experience laid the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to veterinary medicine. She went on to attend Oklahoma State University, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2026, and now brings her education, enthusiasm, and dedication to Shawnee Animal Hospital as she begins her professional career.
Dr. Jones is passionate about serving rural Oklahoma communities and is enthusiastic about becoming a valued and active member of the Shawnee area. She works with all species and holds a particular interest in large animal medicine, preventative care, and client education. Whether caring for companion animals or livestock, Dr. Jones approaches every patient with compassion and every client relationship with genuine care and open communication.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, being with family, and embracing the outdoors.
