Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) successfully organized the Women’s Health Drive under the banner of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan on 26th September 2025 at the Mini Auditorium. The initiative was aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s mission to promote women’s health and well-being.
The drive highlighted the theme “Because a healthy woman builds a stronger family”, emphasizing the role of women’s wellness in strengthening society as a whole. Free health check-ups were conducted for hypertension, diabetes, and haemoglobin levels, ensuring early detection and timely awareness. In addition, participants benefitted from expert consultations, wellness tips, and guidance on preventing lifestyle-related illnesses.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and faculty members who appreciated the university’s efforts in bringing healthcare awareness directly to campus. Beyond medical check-ups, the drive encouraged open conversations on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and lifestyle management, creating an environment of empowerment and awareness.
This initiative also resonated with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-3: Good Health & Well-being and SDG-5: Gender Equality), reinforcing ADYPU’s commitment to fostering holistic development and societal well-being.
The Women’s Health Drive was not just a medical camp but a strong step towards empowering families by empowering women, reminding us all that true progress begins with good health.
