Step 1 – Precise Raw Material Reaction
Melamine and urea (solid-state) are mixed at a weight ratio of 4–5:1–1.5, followed by the introduction of 37% formaldehyde solution. The mixture is heated to 75–85°C and sealed for 10–15 hours for in-depth polymerization.
Step 2 – Controlled Acidification
The mixture is cooled to 55–65°C and left to react naturally for 2–3 hours. This stage promotes acidification, ensuring the right molecular structure for textile bonding.
Step 3 – Neutralization & Vacuum Distillation
Using a 40–50% NaOH solution, the mixture is neutralized to a pH of 7–7.5. It then undergoes vacuum-assisted distillation, removing residual monomers and unreacted formaldehyde. The final resin is retained in the reactor for direct application.
