FarmPro Golden Harvest Launches to Bridge Nigerian Palm Oil Deficit with Sustainable Exports to Europe
Agribusiness startup secures seed funding to empower smallholder farmers and tap into the lucrative European market for sustainable palm oil.
LAGOS, NIGERIA – 14th October, 2025 – FarmPro Golden Harvest, a new vertically-integrated agribusiness, announced its official launch today with a mission to address Nigeria's $1.5 billion palm oil deficit while establishing a premium, sustainable supply chain to Europe.
The company’s innovative model is built on a three-pronged strategy: a core plantation for quality control, an asset-light “Cluster Model” that empowers and aggregates smallholder farmers, and a direct B2B export channel to European buyers. This approach ensures EU-quality standards, provides a stable income for local farmers, and captures the 15-20% price premium offered for sustainable, traceable palm oil.
Nigeria faces a significant shortfall, importing over 1.4 million metric tons of palm oil annually to meet domestic demand. Simultaneously, the European market, which imports 6.6 million metric tons, is increasingly demanding certified, deforestation-free products—a niche that current major suppliers in Southeast Asia are often poorly positioned to fill efficiently.
"We are cultivating Nigerian prosperity for the world," said Johnson Mac-Ejere, Founder and CEO of FarmPro Golden Harvest. "Our model is a win-win: we solve a critical domestic supply problem while positioning Nigeria as a new, ethical source for the high-value European market. We are not just exporting a commodity; we are exporting a story of sustainability, traceability, and community empowerment."
A key differentiator for FarmPro Golden Harvest is its focus on traceability. The company will implement a digital ledger system to track palm fruit from individual smallholder farms to the final product, providing the transparency that European food and cosmetic manufacturers now require.
The company is seeking a $500,000 seed funding round to launch its pilot export cluster, secure critical sustainability certifications like RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), and establish its European supply chain operations. The funds will be allocated to supply chain infrastructure, certification costs, technology development, and farmer onboarding.
FarmPro Golden Harvest represents a compelling investment opportunity at the intersection of impactful agribusiness, export growth, and sustainable development.
