Groove Golf, was awarded “Best In Show for Athlete Performance” at the 2026 Golfweek Tech Lab, held May 11–12 at Aronimink Golf Club during the PGA Championship. The award recognizes the most innovative and impactful startup in athlete performance.

Newtown Square, Pennsylvania — Groove Golf was named Best in Show for Athlete
Performance at this year's Golfweek Tech Lab, an industry showcase hosted by Underdog
Venture Team and the PGA of America at Aronimink Golf Club during the 2026 PGA
Championship. A panel of industry experts judged entries across four award categories, naming
Groove the standout in Athlete Performance.

The category recognizes platforms doing the most to move the needle on how golfers play.
Groove has earned that recognition by redefining club fitting through data and proprietary
mathematical modeling. The platform captures acceleration, velocity, rotation, and timing
metrics across five swings via the Apple Watch® and translates them into a Groove Number™ —
a universal "shoe size" for golf clubs that maps to optimal head and shaft combinations across a
database of 17,000+ measured options. The result is an objective, personalized fit delivered in
five swings and five minutes, repeatable at every facility that runs the platform.

“After five years of development, seeing the judges and Golfweek recognize our technical
approach to fitting accuracy is incredibly rewarding," said Mark Vedete, Founder and CEO of
Groove Golf. "We are grateful to the early-adopter facilities and professionals who have trusted
our technology to help us reach this milestone.”

Vedete demonstrated the platform live at Aronimink, walking attendees through how a five-
swing capture flows straight into the fitter's app and removes the trial-and-error guesswork that
traditionally opens a fitting. Groove is positioned as a highly efficient tool for the fitter, built to
compress the recommendation phase so fitters can spend more time validating, educating, and
building relationships with their players.

The platform is in active pilots at top private clubs including Apogee Golf Club, Jupiter Hills
Club, Cherry Creek Country Club, Conway Farms, West Herts Golf Club, and Sleepy Hollow
Country Club. Former U.S. Open Champion Lucas Glover is among the players who have put a
Groove-fitted driver into tournament play. The Golfweek Tech Lab win marks another step in
Groove's ambition to become the next-generation operating system for golf fittings.

This year's Tech Lab featured 19 startups along with panelists and keynote speakers investing in
the evolution of the sport, representing the leading edge of technology in golf.
