Panchkula, July 11, 2025: Sterloc yet again took another decisive step toward its mission of creating a healthier and more hygienic India under the ongoing ‘India Sterlocked’ campaign. This time, in collaboration with Samvaad NGO, the team visited Sanskriti Primary School, Sector 17, Panchkula.
This time, their target audience was young girls, who are unable to maintain proper hygiene and ensure self-protection, maybe due to a lack of knowledge or access to sanitary products.
The day-long engagement aimed at educating, empowering, and equipping young girls with essential knowledge around hygiene, healthcare, and personal safety.
The next task was to inculcate and build daily life-long healthy habits, which was accomplished by spreading awareness on the importance of personal and menstrual hygiene. A simple PPT with cartoon figures made the environment comfortable for them. Also, this ensured easy understanding of how small habits can lead to long-term health benefits.
The visual aids, simple language, and confident, stigma-free discussions around periods kept the session interactive, encouraging girls to ask questions and share thoughts without hesitation. It created a space where the girls felt seen, heard, and supported.
The other segment of the assembly addressed the sensitive topic of personal safety. Next thing that followed was a workshop to make them understand the difference between good touch and bad touch, so the little ladies could identify inappropriate behavior and seek help without fear.
The campaign ended with free Sterloc sanitizer pack distribution, encouraging the students to keep their surroundings clean and maintain healthy habits. To deepen the impact, the representatives demonstrated the correct and multiple uses of the disinfectant.
With the end of the event, Indian Sterlocked marked one of many scheduled outreach programs, aiming to reach every possible underserved region/ place across the country.
