Chandigarh, December 24, 2025: On Christmas Eve, Team Sterloc spent the evening with families at Valmiki Dharamshala in Sector 26, Chandigarh. There was singing, dancing, games, and gifts, along with a few friendly conversations about keeping hands clean. The visit was part of the Sterlocked campaign, which aims to bring a little festive cheer to communities while making hygiene feel simple and easy to practise in daily routine.

The evening opened with a singing competition for the children and young residents of the neighbourhood. Some chose film songs, others sang Christmas carols, and a few went with whatever they enjoyed most. Each performer was met with warm applause, and the nervous ones got the loudest cheers. Dance came next, with solo performances and group acts that soon had half the audience clapping along.

Then it was game time. Teams were put together on the spot, the rules were bent a little to give the youngest players a fair chance, and no one was left standing on the sidelines. Parents, older siblings and neighbours joined in, and the laughter carried well past the final round.

Before the celebration wrapped up, Team Sterloc handed out edible gifts to everyone present, each with a personal Christmas greeting.

Once the games were over, the team sat down with families for a relaxed chat about hygiene, without any lectures. They talked about how clean hands help prevent everyday infections, and how that matters even more when soap and water aren’t nearby, such as on the way to school, at a shared tap, or while out at work. Team Sterloc gave residents bottles of its alcohol-free hand sanitizer to keep at home or carry with them. As a brand known for what many users consider the best sanitizer spray in India, Sterloc wanted people to see how easy it is to build a protective habit into an ordinary day.
Team members showed residents how to use the sanitizer properly and pointed out the moments when it counts most: before eating, after using shared facilities, and after handling waste. The advice was practical and easy to follow. They also reminded everyone that sanitizer is a helpful backup, and that washing with soap and water remains the best choice whenever it is possible.
“Festivals are when people come together, so they are a lovely time to share small habits that keep us healthy,” a Sterloc spokesperson said. We hope the families remember the songs and the games, and that a few of these hygiene tips make their way into daily life too.

The visit reflects Team Sterloc wider commitment to community well-being through IndiaSterlocked, and it echoes the spirit of the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. For the team, a day of celebration was also a chance to leave behind a simple message of cleanliness.

Team Sterloc thanks the residents of Valmiki Dharamshala for their warm welcome and for joining in with so much enthusiasm. It was a joy to spend Christmas Eve with them.
