Matthew Kayne, also known as DJ Sugar Kayne, who lives with cerebral palsy and continues to broadcast for Sugar Kayne Radio's growing listener base, was joined in the interview by his friend Bernard. Together they discussed disability advocacy, Matthew's cancer diagnosis and recovery, and the two songs he wrote as a direct result of that experience, "Free Like A Bird" and "Look At Me Now."

It's a rare moment of Matthew being the story, rather than simply the voice behind the mic. "Sitting down with GB News to talk about disability rights meant a lot to me," Matthew said. "I had the chance to talk about Sugar Kayne Radio, my bladder cancer journey, and two songs that came out of it. Music has a way of carrying you through the hardest moments, and if sharing my story helps even one other person feel less alone in theirs, that's exactly why I wanted to do it."
