Swipe Again Plugin Now Live on WordPress.org, Bringing In-Store Payment Recovery to WooCommerce Subscriptions Stores

Retries execute inside the store through its own gateway — no processor credentials shared, connect by pairing code

INMAN, S.C., Oct. 22, 2026 — Swipe Again today announced that its WordPress plugin is live on WordPress.org, giving WooCommerce Subscriptions stores a direct route to failed-payment recovery. WooCommerce Subscriptions — the paid extension store-detection services estimate is running on more than 40,000 stores — handles the subscriptions, while Swipe Again handles what happens when a renewal payment fails: decline-code-aware retries, branded dunning emails, card-update pages, and a 90-day backfill of recent failures.

The plugin's design starts from a constraint store owners care about: their payment gateway relationship stays exactly where it is. Swipe Again never asks for a store's processor credentials. A merchant installs the free plugin, starts a pairing from the Swipe Again app, and enters a pairing code in the store — the two sides are connected, and no Stripe, PayPal, or gateway keys change hands. From then on, retries execute inside the store itself, through WooCommerce Subscriptions' own scheduled-payment path and the gateway the store already uses. The charge is the store's charge, run on a smarter schedule.

That schedule is the product. When a renewal fails, Swipe Again reads the decline code and decides when — and whether — to try again: up to six attempts over roughly 16 days, with timing adjusted to the reason for the failure instead of a blind repeat. In parallel, the subscriber receives branded dunning emails from the store and a hosted card-update page where an expired or replaced card can be fixed in about a minute. When a store first connects, Swipe Again also works back through 90 days of failed payments, because the failures already sitting in an account are usually the fastest ones to recover.

"A WooCommerce store's gateway setup is the result of real decisions — rates, risk settings, years of history," the Swipe Again team said. "Recovery software shouldn't ask a merchant to rip that up or hand over the keys to it. The plugin meets the store where it already lives."

The WordPress.org listing makes Swipe Again installable from the same directory merchants already use to run their stores, alongside the WooCommerce integration guide at swipeagain.com. Pricing is the company's standard model: a flat $179 per month, no percentage of recovered revenue and no MRR tiers, with a 14-day free trial and the company's guarantee — recover $179 in 30 days, guaranteed — or Swipe Again is free the next 30 days.

The Swipe Again plugin is available now at wordpress.org/plugins/swipe-again.
