Synderesis has launched the world’s first publicly available AI model trained at the level of its weights to follow Catholic values. Unlike Catholic AI services that rely on instructions layered over a general-purpose model, Synderesis has trained the model itself on Catholic teaching. The platform is live at synderesis.eu.

“The aim is for Catholic values to be part of how the model reasons, rather than a set of instructions added on top of it,” said Hasse Hällström, PhD, co-founder of Synderesis, who has initiated the company’s model development and research.
Among the top performers on a Catholic AI benchmark
In a company-run Catholic benchmark, Synderesis ranked among the two highest-scoring systems in a six-model comparison, with a result statistically on par with Magisterium AI. It outperformed OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, scored ahead of four other models tested and produced no unacceptable claims in the 90 evaluated responses. All six systems were assessed using the same questions and automated grading process.
Built for everyday work — with people in control
Synderesis is designed to help individuals and organisations with writing, research, analysis and routine tasks, without replacing human responsibility. Its products include Synderesis Spark for fast answers and drafts; Synderesis Pro for more demanding reasoning; Synderesis Labora for carrying out approved tasks under user supervision; and Synderesis Code, an alpha coding assistant for the terminal on Apple Silicon macOS and 64-bit Windows.

Organisations can deploy Synderesis through private team workspaces, website customer agents and API integrations. Private-cloud and on-premise options are available on request.
