PUEBLO, Colo. — Gabe “Kuya” Charboneau, a Colorado MMA coach with three decades of experience and more than 2,000 youth mentored through the doors of WarriorBuilt MMA, is launching a new motivational program aimed at helping people overcome adversity and reclaim their purpose. The program, titled TapOutYourDoubt, marks Charboneau’s expansion from fight coaching into national speaking, authorship and community mentorship.
Charboneau, a longtime fatherhood advocate and incarceration re-entry specialist, has spent more than 30 years shaping not only fighters but communities. As a coach at WarriorBuilt MMA (warriorbuiltmma.com) in Pueblo, Colorado— alongside his son-in-law, former professional fighter Jeff Santos—Charboneau has trained and coached athletes across the globe, from Olympians and NFL players to pro boxers and UFC and Bellator veterans.
While he is widely recognized for developing competitors, Charboneau says the heart of his work has always been character, not competition.
“I can make good fighters all day,” Charboneau said. “For me, the highest level of martial arts is creating good people.”
Through TapOutYourDoubt, Charboneau brings that philosophy beyond the gym, offering keynote talks, workshops, youth outreach, and mentorship rooted in resilience, fatherhood, accountability, and overcoming generational barriers.
The program comes as part of Charboneau’s broader mission to empower communities through storytelling, discipline and lived experience. His work continues to blend martial arts culture with real-world personal development—equipping individuals with both the mindset and tools to “fight forward” in their own lives.
