The Journey Begins
My adventure started with a drive from Cusco through the Andes, descending gradually into the cloud forest before reaching the lowland jungle. Along the way, the scenery shifted dramatically, offering constant photo opportunities and glimpses of wildlife even before reaching the core rainforest zone.

Nothing prepared me for the sheer abundance of life along the rivers and trails.

Life Along the River
Boat trips along the Manu and Madre de Dios rivers became a daily ritual, each one revealing something new. Early mornings and dusk proved to be the most rewarding times, when the forest came alive with sound and movement.
