Bundox Safari Co. has introduced Live Wild & Retreat, a five-day, four-night Greater Kruger safari package designed to combine traditional wildlife viewing with river experiences, two different bush stays and a more balanced pace.

The package is bookable now for travel from 1 December 2026.
Live Wild & Retreat combines Bundox Explorer Camp in the Olifants West Nature Reserve with Amava River Lodge in the Olifants View Nature Reserve, within Balule.
Game drives remain central to the safari, but the itinerary also includes experiences beyond vehicle-based wildlife viewing.

Breakfast near the Olifants River gives guests time to enjoy the landscape during the safari morning, while an Olifants River boat cruise introduces wildlife viewing from the water. Hippos, crocodiles, birdlife and other wildlife associated with the river environment can form part of the experience.

The move from Explorer Camp to Amava River Lodge also creates a change in setting and pace. Time at Amava, the river environment and wellness touches add a retreat element while safari activities continue.
