Consensuality has developed a private couples retreat on South Africa’s Garden Route that combines shared adventure with uninterrupted time together.
Wilderness, Together is designed for one couple at a time. Instead of building each day around a full sightseeing schedule, the retreat combines selected experiences with open time at a private adults-only cabin.
The format is intended for couples who want more than conventional accommodation or a standard romantic weekend. Shared activities create memorable experiences outside the cabin, while the rest of the stay gives couples privacy and flexibility.

Shared Garden Route experiences
The retreat includes a combination of outdoor, dining and couples experiences, including:
- A private game drive
- Two microlight flights operating side by side along the coastline
- A sunset cruise
- A private beach picnic
- An in-cabin couples massage
- A self-led cacao ritual for two
- Private chef meals
- A handcrafted leather keepsake
Each day is structured around a principal experience rather than a long list of scheduled activities. This leaves more of the retreat available for couples to spend privately and at their own pace.

Private couples accommodation and self-guided experiences
The private cabin forms an important part of the retreat rather than simply providing accommodation between activities.
Facilities include a wood-fired outdoor hot tub, spa bath, mirrored four-poster bed and private playroom. Paddleboards and kayaks are also available for couples who want additional time on the water.
Self-guided experiences are left inside the cabin for couples to use when and how they choose. These include conversation prompts, an erotic treasure hunt, love-letter stationery, body painting, role-play prompts and a private workbook covering communication, boundaries, consent, playful exercises and aftercare.
There is no group programme and no requirement to complete the self-guided elements in a particular order.

One couple at a time
The one-couple format distinguishes the retreat from larger group programmes and shared wellness retreats.
The cabin is reserved for the couple, meals are prepared for them, and the organised experiences are incorporated around their stay. There are no other retreat guests sharing the accommodation or following the same programme.
