NEW YORK, August 2, 2026 - OmniaKey today announced the public release of AI Agent API Setup, a free and open-source toolkit that helps developers configure custom API endpoints across popular coding agents.
The toolkit supports Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, OpenCode, Cursor, Cline and Aider. It provides a browser-based configuration generator, a reusable agent skill and a local diagnostic command. Generated configurations reference environment-variable names rather than requesting or storing API keys.
Developers often need different configuration formats for each coding tool, even when those tools connect to the same model gateway. AI Agent API Setup turns a selected agent, protocol and base URL into the exact environment variables or configuration steps required by that client. Its local doctor command can then run a read-only model-list probe against the endpoint selected by the user.
The project is provider-neutral. Developers can enter a compatible public endpoint or choose an optional preset. The static web interface does not receive API keys, make model requests or persist form data. The local command intentionally reads credentials only from a user-selected process environment variable.

The release complements OmniaKey, an LLM gateway for coding agents that gives developers one usage-based account for Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and other leading models. OmniaKey supports OpenAI-compatible access as well as native Anthropic and Gemini protocol routes, with per-key quotas and usage visibility.
