San Jose, CA, USA. January 27, 2026 /PRESS RELEASE/ — xPal secure messaging app, the privacy-first encrypted communications platform, today announced that its cryptographic algorithms have been successfully validated under the Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) administered by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
CAVP validation confirms that xPal’s encryption algorithms have been independently tested by NIST-accredited laboratories and verified to meet U.S. federal cryptographic standards for mathematical correctness and implementation integrity. This validation represents the foundational and required first phase toward achieving FIPS / NIST 140-3 cryptographic module certification, which is currently in progress.
“CAVP validation is one of the most rigorous and meaningful trust signals in cryptography,” said Tony Tariq, Founder and CEO of xPal. “It confirms that the cryptographic core of xPal is built on verified, standards-compliant algorithms — not proprietary shortcuts or unproven implementations. This milestone reflects years of disciplined engineering and our long-term commitment to building security the right way.”
Unlike most consumer messaging platforms, xPal secure messaging app was architected from inception around compliance-grade cryptographic foundations while preserving full user anonymity. The platform requires no phone number, email address, SIM card, or personal identifier, relying instead on xPal’s proprietary unique 9-digits xID system to enable secure global communication without identity exposure.
CAVP validation establishes the cryptographic groundwork necessary for adoption in enterprise, government, and regulated environments, while reinforcing xPal’s unique position at the intersection of strong privacy, verified security, and modern usability.
“This achievement strengthens xPal’s credibility not just as a privacy app, but as a serious security platform,” Tariq added. “Many products talk about encryption. Far fewer can demonstrate independent validation under federal standards.”
The company expects to complete the remaining phase of the NIST 140-3 validation process in the coming weeks. Upon completion, xPal will further expand its ability to serve organizations and users operating in high-risk and compliance-sensitive environments worldwide.
