DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, [11/3/2026] - Private owners posted about 24,000 of the 29,638 used cars for sale on YallaMotor, the UAE car marketplace for new and used car prices, on 3 November 2026, or 81% of its UAE used car listings. Dealers posted the remaining 5,616. The snapshot comes as new cars keep arriving on UAE roads: Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recorded 196,042 first-time vehicle registrations between January and June 2026, more than 1,000 a day, as reported by Gulf News.

Key findings

Dubai accounts for about half of YallaMotor's UAE used listings, with 15,734 cars, followed by Abu Dhabi with 4,639, Sharjah with 4,516, Ajman with 2,879 and Al Ain with 898. Nissan, with 4,466 listings, and Toyota, with 3,678, are the most-listed brands, ahead of Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Hyundai. More than 2,500 cars on the site are listed for export, an option for residents who are leaving the country.

"Most of the used cars on YallaMotor come from their owners, not from companies, and those owners need a fair way to reach buyers," said Mohamad AlRayes, Director of Growth at YallaMotor. "When people ask which website to sell a car on in the UAE, three questions decide it: what it costs to list, who sets the price, and who the buyer is. On YallaMotor, a basic listing costs nothing, the owner sets the price, and the buyer is another driver, because we do not buy cars ourselves."

Who the buyer is

Selling routes in the UAE differ in who ends up buying the car. Dealer trade-ins and instant-buy services purchase the car themselves, so their offer has to leave room for a resale margin. On a marketplace that does not buy cars, the platform has no stake in a lower price, and the seller negotiates directly with the next owner. YallaMotor states on its website that it does not buy cars from sellers.

How listing works on YallaMotor

A basic listing on YallaMotor carries no fee and no commission, and buyers contact the seller directly by phone or WhatsApp. Sellers can check the YallaMotor car valuation before setting a price. Optional paid listings add visibility: Super at AED 99 and Hyper at AED 199, both plus VAT, add a WhatsApp button and higher placement, while YallaMotor Max, a one-time AED 850 package, has the YallaMotor team prepare the listing and promote the car through video ads to more than 400,000 combined social media followers. Owners leaving the UAE can list a car for export as well as for local sale.

Advice for private sellers

With about 24,000 private listings competing for attention, YallaMotor recommends that owners check the valuation against current listings of the same model, year and mileage in their own emirate, write a full description with service history and specification, reply to enquiries on the same day, and reprice a listing that draws no contact within two weeks.
