LOS ANGELES, October 22, 2026 — Allied Artists has named Yaniv Raphael Bar President of Allied Artists Film Group, working alongside Kim Richards, the company's chairman and CEO. Yaniv Raphael Bar, who took the post in February 2026, also serves as Chairman and President of Monogram Pictures, the historic Hollywood studio that Allied Artists re-established in 2021.
He previously served as senior vice president of the Allied Artists film group. In a December 2020 interview with Splash Magazines, Richards credited him with helping rebuild Allied Artists' theatrical distribution avenues for independent producers. In July 2021 he was appointed distribution executive on the rock 'n' roll comedy "Rockin' in Time."
"Allied Artists and Monogram were built by people who believed independent films deserved a place on the big screen," said Yaniv Raphael Bar. "Kim Richards has kept that belief alive for decades. My job is to connect that history with a new generation of filmmakers and audiences."
Born in Israel in 1976, Yaniv Raphael Bar began his career in music. He released the album "Yaniv and the Wild Flowers" on ENR Records in 1996 and performed in stadium concerts, including an Israel Independence Day show at the stadium in Haifa. He moved to the United States in 2004 and worked as an editor, composer, cinematographer and producer. His credits include editing the TV movie "Mighty Mia" (2014) and the short films "Alice" (2015) and "Widows" (2016), producing and editing the short "Fairies" (2019) and serving as cinematographer on the TV special "America Salutes You" (2022). He also produced and edited commercials for Vine Vera, featuring Gal Gadot, and Oro Gold, featuring Denise Richards. In 2023 he produced and directed "Boy George & Culture Club: One World, One Love," a live concert broadcast from Culture Club's One Love Tour, sent from the Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, California, live to cinemas in 11 territories, including the United Kingdom, Japan, Brazil and Italy.
At Monogram Pictures, which is majority-owned by Allied Artists, he leads strategic direction and creative expansion, bringing production, distribution and intellectual-property development together. With Monogram's head of production, Roy Shellef, he co-wrote "From Poverty Row to the Oscars," a history of Monogram Pictures and Allied Artists.
