From November 8th to 9th, 2025, the 4th China Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Conference & Exhibition (CPEEC) and the 28th Annual Academic Conference of the China Power Supply Society (CPSSC) were held at the Bao'an Hall of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.

Shanghai Yongming Electronics showcased its solutions in four core areas: new energy vehicle electronics, AI servers, photovoltaic energy storage, and motor drives in Hall 20. Its innovative capacitor technology for third-generation semiconductors became a focus of the exhibition.

Core Technology Breakthrough: Addressing the Three Major Pain Points of Third-Generation Semiconductors

The high frequency, high voltage, and high temperature characteristics of third-generation semiconductors (GaN/SiC) place stringent demands on the matching and reliability of capacitors. Cheng Yong, Engineering Director of Yongming Electronics, stated in his keynote speech at the exhibition that the company, through collaborative design from materials and structure to application level, leverages its technological advantages of high capacitance density, low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance), high reliability, and small size to provide stable support for advanced power devices.

This innovation is not simply a replacement of traditional components, but a customized solution for extreme operating conditions, allowing capacitors to truly keep pace with the technological advancements of third-generation semiconductors, unleashing their performance potential, and becoming the "energy cornerstone" and "voltage regulator core" in power conversion.

Four Practical Case Studies Demonstrate the Strength of Domestically Produced Capacitors

During the exhibition, Yongming Electronics announced four core application cases, demonstrating the product's competitiveness through tangible results:

1. AI Server Power Supply Solution: Co-designed with Navitas GaN, using IDC3 series low-ESR electrolytic capacitors, achieving a lifespan of 12,000 hours at 105℃, reducing overall size by 60%, improving efficiency by 1%-2%, and reducing temperature rise by 10℃.

2. 480W Rail Power Supply Solution: Replacing Japanese Rubycon capacitors, it withstands 7.8A ripple current in a wide temperature range of -40℃ to 105℃, achieving 100% pass rate in high and low temperature cycling tests, meeting the rail industry's requirement of a service life of over 10 years.

3. DC-Link Capacitors for New Energy Vehicles: Compatible with ON Semiconductor 300kW motor controllers, ESL (Equivalent Series Inductance) < 3.5nH, lifespan exceeding 10,000 hours at 125℃, contributing to overall efficiency of over 98.5% and improving range by approximately 5%.

4. 3.5kW Charging Pile Solution: Achieving a power density of 137W/in³ in collaboration with GigaDevice, with a system peak efficiency of 96.2%, a power factor (PF) of 0.999, and a THD of only 2.7%, meeting the high reliability requirements of charging piles for 10-20 years.



During the exhibition, a team of experts, including a member of the Virginia Tech Engineering Department, the R&D director of Delta Electronics, and professors from Shanghai Maritime University, Zhejiang University, and Xi'an Jiaotong University, visited the Yongming booth. Experts focused on the application of Yongming's new generation of lithium-ion supercapacitors (LIC) in the backup power supply of NVIDIA's AI server GB300 BBU.
