Zyaku Keeps Working When the Signal Doesn't: Saved Feed Opens Offline, and Posts and Help Messages Wait, Then Send Once

Zyaku's latest updates let people open their saved feed and comics with no connection, keep posts that fail on a weak signal and send them later, and publish a help message once, even if it was sent twice.

SAN FRANCISCO, 24 October 2026. Zyaku, the offline-first publishing platform for creators and journalists, with crisis alerts and emergency tools built in, has shipped a set of updates this week for people on weak or broken connections.

What's new:
- The feed and Comics open without a connection. The home feed shows the posts you last saw, and recently opened lists stay available in the apps.
- Posts on a weak connection are kept and sent later. A post that fails on a weak signal is saved and sent when the connection returns. The outbox is always available from the More menu.
- See and cancel posts waiting to go out. You can view every queued post and cancel any of them before it sends.
- See when an offline post was written. Offline posts show when they were written as well as when they were sent.
- An emergency sent twice is published once. Repeated sends of the same emergency message, including ones queued offline, publish only once.
- Emergency messages written offline send after you close Zyaku. On Android and in desktop Chrome or Edge, queued help messages are sent later even after the app is closed. iPhone users get a clearer note and an SMS option.

"A weak signal is where most people actually live," said Rohit Kashyap, Founder & CEO of Zyaku. "Your work shouldn't disappear because the connection dropped, and a call for help shouldn't arrive twice or not at all. This week's updates are about making the in-between moments reliable."

The updates build on Zyaku's safety tools: an emergency Medical ID readable from a QR code, I'm Safe check-ins for people you trust, an offline map of nearby hospitals, shelters, police and fire stations using OpenStreetMap data, and crisis alerts kept apart from the home feed. Zyaku Mesh, which passes short emergency messages from phone to phone, is built and in testing, and is not switched on for everyone yet.

Safety note: Zyaku does not replace emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first.
