SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2026: Zyaku, the creator-owned publishing platform for comics, journalism, podcasts and short video, today announced updates that make it possible for creators to get paid wherever they live, including in countries where common payment providers aren't available.
Creators on Zyaku's Pro plan and above can now choose between two payout routes:
- Instant payouts for creators with a verified Stripe Connect account.
- Scheduled payouts by bank transfer or Revolut for creators in countries Stripe doesn't support, or whose verification is still in progress. They don't have to wait for a payment provider to arrive in their country before they can earn.
Creators can see their balance, payout route and payout history on a new Payouts screen in their account.
“Talented creators and journalists live everywhere, but most creator platforms only pay people in a short list of countries,” said Rohit Kashyap, Founder and CEO of Zyaku. “If you can publish on Zyaku, you should be able to get paid on Zyaku. Where you live shouldn't decide that.”
Built for places where the internet fails
Zyaku is designed for unreliable connectivity. Creators can write offline, and their posts publish automatically when a connection returns. Emergency Broadcast and Disaster Alert, launched after the recent floods in Nepal, let people queue safety check-ins and crisis messages offline. They go out as soon as any connection is available. These features can be opened straight from the Zyaku homepage.
For independent journalists
Journalists can publish anonymously on Zyaku. Their identity is stored encrypted and is never shown to readers. Every moderation decision on the platform goes on a public, append-only ledger with an appeals window, so creators can see how the rules are applied.
Other updates
- A new press kit at zyaku.com/press with logos, product screenshots and founder information.
- New guides on the Zyaku blog: making motion comics with AI, publishing anonymously as a journalist, and communicating when the internet goes down.
Zyaku is free to start. There's no follower minimum, and creators can publish comics, motion comics (with a built-in AI Studio), journalism, podcasts and short video in many languages.
