In 2019, Deepa started her venture named as Bakeology Studio which began working since 2020 with aims of bridging the gap between the world of skills and accessible vocational learning, especially in the hospitality and food and beverage sector. Embarking on the venture, it evolved into a diversified business with a variety of concepts, and eventually opened up up to 4 shops.

Business planning, execution, team management, customer engagement, financial management and resource allocation were all key elements that needed attention to build and develop the business. This experience gave hands-on experience and insights into the real-world issues that entrepreneurs face when they start their business from an idea.

Her entrepreneurial career dovetails with her experience in human capital leadership and organisational transformation in the corporate world. Having worked in organisational psychology, business development and leadership, she uses this expertise to support organisations to build their capacity and respond to evolving needs and requirements as Founder & Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory.

Deepa's professional philosophy focuses on building skills that will have a positive impact on outcomes. Vocational learning and professional development can contribute to the acquisition of concrete skills and provide a way for people to transition into the labour market and entrepreneurship in this context.

She is a graduate of the MSc Organisational Psychology from the University of London. She was honoured by Kennedy University with a Peace Ambassadorship and with an honorary doctor degree with specialization in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership in 2026.
