Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo (Sunaina) offers relevant experience of human capital functions and organisational change in this field of business leadership.

As Founder and Managing Director of Altius Global Advisory, Deepa applies her broad industry experience to the fields of organisational psychology, business advisory, work-force transformation and organisational design. Her experience highlights how crucial it is to consider people issues on top of operational and strategic ones as companies go through change.

As Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Capital at Ava Care Health Group Global, she established the Human Capital centralised operational function of the 18 subsidiaries in 12 African countries, UAE, India and Kazakhstan. She was responsible for governance and pay-roll, finance integration, IT deployment, shared services and mergers and acquisition integration.

These functions may be significant in supporting the organisations to build uniform procedures, specify responsibilities and harmonise the workforce needs across the business units. Moreover, integration encompasses the significance of communication, responsibility of leading and the fundamental needs of the work processes.

Her other experience at BDO was based around organisational development, talent management, performance management and employee engagement. All of which add up to an understanding of how systems and people processes work together in times of organisational change.

Deepa has a MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of London. In 2026, Kennedy University awarded her a Peace Ambassadorship and an honorary doctorate, with specialisation in Organisational Psychology and Strategic Management and Leadership.
