She has a depth of experience in a cross-border corporate context, covering areas such as workforce transformation, organisational design, human resources strategy, shared-services development and mergers and acquisitions integration.

She has also been involved in talent management and organisational development with BDO and as an assessor on Saïd Business School's Oxford Executive Leadership Programme from September 2018 – August 2025. She has had a career in the business world, having started out by founding Bakeology Studio from a skills-based project which has since turned into a multi-faceted business with up to 4 stores.

In 2026, Kennedy University awarded Deepa the honour of being a Peace Ambassador, while also granting her the award of Honorary Doctorate Degree with specialisations in Organisational Psychology, Strategic Management and Leadership. The key focus of her professional view is building knowledge, using capacities and making a difference.
