Amb. Dr. Deepa Chhagan Lalloo is an executive, human resources practitioner, organisational transformation leader, business advisor and leadership development expert with a career background of over 15 years in the field.

The experience of Deepa demonstrates the nature of managing people, systems and organisational priorities in various markets. In her role at AvaCare Health Group Global, the Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Capital oversaw the development and consolidation of human capital operational functions and operations across 18 subsidiaries in 12 countries across Africa, in addition to the UAE, India and Kazakhstan.

In addition to HRM, she had the responsibility of organising, designing, building, implementing and integrating into IT, shared services and mergers and acquisitions. It was an inter-functional experience which helped her gain appreciation of how the organisation structure and workforce capabilities support business performance.

Deepa has also been an Assessor for the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from September 2018 to August 2025. The position also entailed evaluating the leadership of senior executives and giving developmental feedback to help the leadership learning put into practice.

She holds a Masters Certificate in Organisational Psychology from the University of London and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She was recognized as a Peace Ambassador in 2026, and also earned an Honorary Doctorate at Kennedy University in 2026.
