Her PhD research examines sustainability in the area of healthcare services in Germany, focusing on sustainable healthcare management, resource use, innovation, digitalisation, waste management and the interaction among healthcare service providers.

Witney also undertaken data analytics training as part of her doctoral work to complement her keen interest in data-driven, evidence-based methods of organisational development.
