ST. PETERSBURG, Florida-As students seek educational opportunities outside of their immediate communities, Roosevelt International University (RIU) is encouraging access to a global outlook in higher education.

When diverse groups of students gather from a range of backgrounds, aspirations and career pathways, it will open up your horizons, inspire interest in other cultures and the ability to look beyond your own sector and geographic area.

RIU is located in St. Petersburg, Florida and strives to educate students in the United States and abroad. Subjects offered by the university range from undergraduate to graduate and doctoral and ministry, theological and leadership degrees.

International students may require a more flexible study pathway. Online courses could provide a solution, although this will depend on the institution and course – it is important that these options are discussed directly with the university.

As it continues to grow, RIU also prioritizes academic administration, student advising and transparency in institutional policies. These efforts are focused on enhancing its ability to carry out its instructional programs.

Recognition of qualification can be an important consideration for students thinking of studying across borders. Recognition of a qualification can vary according to the receiving institution, employer, professional regulator or country. Potential students should therefore check what the requirements are for their intended purpose of obtaining a degree.

"It is equally important for us to know and be aware of the right way to communicate our regulatory/ accreditation status." Committees and organizational officers need to understand that Florida's Commission for Independent Education is a state body with duties linked to independent postsecondary institutions. Accreditation is a totally different matter and should be checked accordingly.

As a result of its ongoing institutional growth, RIU strives to enable students searching for higher education, promote sound academic choice and responsible learning.
