Roosevelt International University (RIU) is increasingly focused on flexible higher education and accessible learning opportunities in its ongoing growth in Florida.

The provision of services to learners in various settings and professions is an integral part of RIU's educational mission. Flexible learning can enable students to focus on balancing employment, family responsibilities and other obligations with academic objectives and continue their studies.

RIU's programs range from undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programs, to programs in ministry, theological programs and leadership programs. The university aims to provide educational opportunities that encourage critical thinking, knowledge development, leadership skills and lifelong learning.

In addition to program development, RIU understands the need for clear communication with potential students. Admissions information, program overview, academic requirements, institutional status and policies will assist learners in making informed choices prior to enrolling.

Florida has independent postsecondary education regulations. The Commission for Independent Education under the Florida Department of Education has jurisdiction over nonpublic postsecondary institutions in the state, including licensing and administration of nonpublic postsecondary institutions. It is important for prospective students to be able to differentiate between state licensing or authorization and accreditation by an accrediting organization.

The institutional development of RIU continues to include consideration of the student support, academic administration, faculty engagement, and quality-assurance processes. Of equal significance to developing an educational environment responsive to the shifting needs of learners and evolving expectations in higher education are these areas.

The growth of online learning will continue, and RIU wants to improve the institutions and offer students flexible learning options. Students who are interested are directed to visit the University's website for the current information about the programs and the disclosures of the University.
