BOCA RATON, FL: Calusa Veterinary Center, a 24-hour animal hospital serving pet families across South Florida, welcomes Dr. Dakota Weber, DVM, to its growing veterinary team.
Dr. Weber was born and raised in Rhode Island before relocating to Florida to complete her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Florida Atlantic University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, completing her clinical year at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2026. That training gave her broad clinical exposure before entering practice.
Dr. Weber's clinical interests include oncology, cardiology, and dermatology, areas that align directly with Calusa Veterinary Center's expanded specialty offerings for dogs and cats. She takes a compassionate, patient-centered approach that emphasizes building lasting relationships with pet owners as well as their pets. Her arrival strengthens the hospital's capacity to provide advanced, coordinated care for pets facing complex or chronic conditions, while maintaining the personal attention that has defined the practice's reputation in the Boca Raton community.
Calusa Veterinary Center operates a 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility offering round-the-clock emergency and critical care alongside wellness medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, and integrative therapies that blend modern veterinary science with Eastern medicine. The hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association and holds Fear-Free and Cat Friendly Practice® certifications. Dr. Weber joins an experienced team serving Boca Raton pet families.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Weber enjoys spending time with her dog, cat, and boyfriend. She also loves reading, exploring the outdoors, and making the most of Florida's beautiful weather.
