A Korean noodle manufacturer based in Waegwan-eup, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is strengthening its position in the premium noodle market through continuous innovation and strict quality management. The company operates on a 3,030㎡ site with a total building area of 819.1㎡, located in the Geumsan District of the Waegwan Local Industrial Complex.

Since the completion of its manufacturing facility in June 2000, the company has focused on producing high-quality somen noodles, exporting all of its products to Japan. Responding to the growing preference among Korean consumers for premium somen noodles, the company successfully expanded into the domestic market in 2004.

To further enhance product competitiveness, the company entered into an industry–academia cooperation agreement with the Department of Herbal Food Culinary Nutrition at Daegu Haany University. Through this collaboration, it has actively participated in joint industry–academia–research consortium projects, concentrating on the development of functional noodle products.

As part of its first major research project, the company developed and obtained a patent for green tea somen noodles made using naturally grown green tea leaves from Hwagae, Jirisan. This product introduced a new standard of quality and taste in green tea noodles. The second project resulted in the successful patent registration of functional noodles containing black rice, further expanding the company’s product portfolio.

In parallel with product innovation, the company has implemented a rigorous quality management system by obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification, which has been fully applied across its production facilities. Its products are also recognized as a local specialty of Chilgok-gun and are distributed nationwide through Post Office Shopping, operated by the Korea Post Office Promotion Agency.
