ROTTERDAM, September 1, 2026 — Dotado, an advisory practice specializing in giftedness, has spent sixteen years supporting parents, teachers, and gifted adults. Having now completed more than 1,500 assessments, the Rotterdam-based team helps families and individuals better understand the cognitive and emotional needs that come with giftedness.
Dotado offers a broad range of services, including IQ testing for children (ages 4-15) and adults (ages 16-85), coaching for parents and children, a parent course, talks and workshops, and family constellation sessions ('opvoedopstellingen'). The team focuses not only on identifying giftedness, but also on providing practical tools that parents, teachers, and adults can put to use right away.
“Gifted children and adults think in complex ways, feel intensely, and act with drive. We help parents trust their own intuition again, and we help adults put words to their feeling of being ‘different.’ That is what our work is about.”
— Willemien, founder of Dotado
Dotado's approach combines thorough assessment with a personal, warm style of guidance. Parents and adults who complete a Dotado assessment say the detailed evaluation reports offer not only recognition, but also concrete tools to use at home and at school. Several families report that a Dotado report has helped their child find a better fit in education, including grade acceleration or access to schooling suited to gifted children.
