EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Sept. 30, 2026 — United-BIM Inc. today announced an expansion of its BIM/VDC workforce to increase delivery capacity for mission-critical and technically complex construction projects across the United States.
The workforce investment is focused on BIM management, multidisciplinary coordination, Revit modeling, MEP engineering, and project delivery functions. It follows United-BIM’s growing involvement in projects where dense building systems, compressed schedules, multiple trade interfaces, and strict information requirements place greater demands on BIM and VDC teams.
Mission-critical construction, particularly data center development, continues to expand rapidly. CBRE reported that data center capacity under construction across eight primary North American markets reached 7,481 megawatts in the first half of 2026, up 24.8% year over year, with more than 80% of capacity already preleased.
For United-BIM, the workforce expansion is intended to build additional technical depth around the coordination and model-management requirements associated with this type of construction rather than simply increasing production capacity.
“Mission-critical projects put a different level of pressure on the BIM process,” said Chirag Thaker, President of United-BIM Inc. “The challenge is not simply producing more model content. Project teams are coordinating systems that are closely connected to power, cooling, equipment access, installation sequence, fabrication, and commissioning. Expanding our workforce gives us greater depth in the areas where those decisions are being made and reviewed.”
Building Capacity Around Increasingly Complex Project Delivery
United-BIM’s data center BIM practice supports modeling, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, drawing production, and construction-stage BIM workflows for high-density technical facilities.
Recent work includes BIM coordination for a 147,900-square-foot mission-critical data center in the United States, where the company supported multidisciplinary coordination around dense MEP systems, as well as electrical BIM modeling and clash detection for a 148,000-square-foot data center project in Kansas City.
The company has also been involved in technically intensive projects outside the data center sector, including a 185,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Indiana involving architectural, structural, and MEP modeling and coordination.
These projects reflect a broader change in the demands placed on BIM/VDC delivery teams. On complex facilities, model production increasingly sits alongside coordination management, model quality control, constructability review, information exchange, and documentation required to support field execution.
“The coordination workload changes significantly when you move into high-density technical environments,” said Akash Patel, VP, Operations at United-BIM Inc. “A routing decision can affect equipment clearance, access, supports, fabrication, or another trade several systems away. Our focus with this expansion is to maintain the connection between model production, coordination, and quality control as project scale increases.”
Expanding Technical Roles and Delivery Depth
United-BIM is expanding its workforce across several levels of its BIM/VDC organization. Current and planned recruitment includes BIM management and lead positions, Revit BIM modelers, and MEP engineering roles, with responsibilities spanning multidisciplinary coordination, model auditing, BIM standards, project execution, client communication, and technical QA/QC.
The workforce expansion will operate within United-BIM’s existing delivery framework, which includes defined project workflows, internal checklists, and multiple levels of quality review. The company’s delivery model organizes its approach around people, process, policy, and technology, including a three-level quality-check structure for BIM deliverables.
Information security is also part of that operating environment. United-BIM maintains an ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified information security management system, supporting controlled handling of digital project information across BIM workflows.
The expansion is part of United-BIM’s broader effort to align its delivery capacity with larger, faster-moving, and increasingly system-intensive construction programs. The company is strengthening the technical functions that support complex projects across its existing BIM/VDC organization, including modeling, coordination, quality assurance, and project leadership.
United-BIM has supported more than 1,000 projects across 10+ sectors over 12+ years, serving architects, engineers, general contractors, trade contractors, owners, and other AEC organizations.
The expanded BIM/VDC workforce will support continued project delivery across data centers, advanced manufacturing, and other facilities where multidisciplinary coordination and reliable digital project information are central to construction execution.
