Fieldcode has expanded its field service management platform with new controls for organizations managing operations across multiple dispatch groups. Dispatchers can now select multiple groups within Fieldcode’s operational workspace and view the engineers and assigned work across those groups together. At the same time, enhanced user administration controls allow organizations to define which users individual roles are permitted to edit.
The update addresses an operational challenge for larger and distributed service organizations. Work may be divided by region, customer, service area, or operational unit, while dispatchers still need visibility across several of those areas. Administrative access, however, may need to remain limited according to individual responsibilities.
The capability is particularly relevant for IT and telecom service organizations that coordinate work across multiple regions, customer accounts, service territories, or specialist teams. Dispatchers may need visibility across several operational groups at once, while user-management permissions still need to remain aligned with local or account-level responsibilities.
With multi-select dispatch groups, dispatchers can work with several groups at the same time rather than repeatedly switching between individual groups. Within the scheduling Timeline, selecting multiple dispatch groups displays the engineers assigned to those groups together with their scheduled work. This provides a broader operational view when coordinating service delivery across several areas.
The change builds on Fieldcode’s existing dispatch-group structure rather than replacing it. Organizations can continue to separate operations according to their existing structure while giving selected users visibility across more than one group when their responsibilities require it.
Fieldcode has also extended its user administration controls. Organizations can define which users a particular role is permitted to edit, allowing administrative access to remain aligned with the scope of that role.
This separates operational visibility from administrative reach. A user may need to oversee activity across several service areas without requiring the same level of user-management access across the organization.
“Service organizations often need broader visibility across regions or service units without giving every role the same level of administrative control,” said Matthias Lübko, CEO of Fieldcode. “These changes allow organizations to widen the operational view available to dispatchers while keeping administrative responsibilities aligned with how their service operations are structured.”
The new capabilities extend Fieldcode’s existing controls for managing distributed field service operations, giving organizations more flexibility in how they structure visibility and administrative access across multiple dispatch groups.
About Fieldcode
Fieldcode is a field service management software built on 25 years of global expertise. It delivers a fully automated Zero-Touch process, automating ticket movement from creation to technician without manual intervention and easing the workload for dispatchers. The software leverages cutting-edge technology to optimize field operations, simplify processes, and improve efficiency across every stage of service management. The platform is particularly relevant for complex service environments such as IT services and telecom, where work is often spread across multiple customer accounts, regions, technical teams and service partners.
