Slider deflection is what puts a long bend out of tolerance. Under load the ram flexes slightly away from the die, so the same programmed stroke produces a tighter angle at the ends of a component than in the middle. Real-time compensation corrects that as the stroke happens.

The machine is built on an all-steel welded body stress-relieved by vibration or annealing, a treatment that releases the internal stresses left by welding so the frame does not move over its service life. Rigidity in the frame is what makes the compensation system meaningful, since a machine that flexes unpredictably cannot be corrected predictably.

The machine runs CNC controls with servo drives and an intelligent rear stopper mechanism, which positions the back gauge for each bend in a sequence so an operator working a multi-bend component is not measuring between strokes.
